RZR Pro XP, RZR S 1000, and Trail S fault codes (2021-2026)

The 2022-2026 RZR Pro XP / Pro XP 4 and the 2021-2023 RZR S 1000 / Trail S manuals publish the same 202-entry diagnostic table. This page lists it once, with the manual citation for each year and the platform-specific circuits behind the codes.

202 OEM-listed entries 9 manual P/Ns 2 OEM chapters

Scope note

This page covers the shared 202-entry table published in the RZR Pro XP / Pro XP 4 manuals (OEM chapter 0000711912) and the RZR S 1000 / Trail S manuals (OEM chapter 0000555514). Both chapters print 217 raw rows; repeated code rows collapse to 202 unique entries.

The 2022-2026 Pro XP records and the 2021-2023 RZR S / Trail S records are listed separately below. The Pro XP is a turbocharged platform; the RZR S 1000 and Trail S are trail machines. The shared table can name features that are not fitted to every trim.

The 2023 RZR Trail S record is the MD / ZUG / Tractor manual. The 2021 RZR S 1000 is the earliest record in the group.

Table profile

This page reproduces 202 entries from 9 model-year records (2021–2026), 9 manual P/Ns, and 2 OEM chapters.

Rows keep the manual’s printed order, from SPN 1807 / FMI 13 to SPN 520615 / FMI 5.

Every row carries an SPN/FMI pair; 109 distinct SPNs and 22 FMI values appear.

The largest FMI groups are FMI 3 (40 rows), FMI 4 (38 rows), and FMI 31 (27 rows); together they account for 52% of the table.

The most repeated SPN is 157 (Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor) with 7 rows, followed by SPN 84 with 6 rows.

Every printed SPN/FMI pair carries one title in this table.

These counts describe the rows on this page, not every manual in the archive. The source box below lists the exact citation for every record on the page.

One table, two OEM chapters

The 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 RZR Pro XP / Pro XP 4 owner's manuals use diagnostic chapter 0000711912. The 2021-2023 RZR S 1000 / Trail S manuals use chapter 0000555514. The SPN, FMI, component, and failure labels match entry-for-entry across both chapters.

This page publishes the table once and keeps a model-family anchor for each manual. The model-year URLs redirect to those anchors. The table rows are the same; the P/N, chapter, and model-year citation are not.

What the 202 entries cover

The table spans engine temperature, fuel rail pressure, boost pressure, throttle body control, accelerator position, oxygen sensors, AWD, EPAS/EPS, shock valve current, CAN messages, chassis relays, PWM fuel pump, inertial measurement unit, system voltage, and several driver circuits. Most rows are SPN/FMI pairs; the FMI number describes the failure type.

A code does not prove that the turbocharger, fuel rail, steering rack, or another named part has failed. The row names a monitored circuit or condition. The FMI glossary below explains the suffix on each entry.

Turbo and trail-platform notes

Boost, fuel rail, intercooler, and throttle-body entries reflect systems that are specific to the turbocharged ProStar platform. The RZR S 1000 and Trail S use the same definition table but do not carry every turbo-specific component. A low battery or a CAN communication event can set several codes at once, so record every active and stored code before treating one row as the root cause.

This page is a code reference. It does not provide turbocharger, fuel-system, steering, or high-voltage service procedures. Those jobs require the OEM service manual and the appropriate tools.

How to use this page

Record the exact SPN and FMI, choose the anchor for your model family and year, and use the full table or the decoder. Note the manual P/N and chapter for your machine so the citation matches. The entry is a label from the OEM chapter, not a diagnosis for a specific vehicle.

Which manuals use this table

The table is shared; the manual citation is not. Use the P/N for your exact model year.

Model and year notes

These notes explain which systems matter on each machine. They do not add rows to the OEM table.

RZR Pro XP / Pro XP 4 (2022–2026)

All five Pro XP model years publish this 202-entry table in chapter 0000711912. The table is identical; the manual P/N and model-year citation are not. Use the anchor for your year and confirm the code against the manual for your VIN and trim.

RZR S 1000 / Trail S (2021–2023)

The 2021 RZR S 1000, 2022 RZR S 1000 MD, 2022 RZR Trail S 1000 Tractor, and 2023 RZR Trail S MD / ZUG / Tractor manuals publish the same 202-entry table in chapter 0000555514. These are distinct records for different markets and body styles; the diagnostic rows are shared.

Earliest cited chapter: Polaris Owner's Manual P/N 9931386 (2021 RZR S 1000) - Diagnostic Display Code Definitions. Every cited chapter is linked in Sources below. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.

What the FMI number means

Every entry pairs an SPN with an FMI. The FMI is the failure type; the SPN is the circuit or component.

FMI = failure mode identifier. The same FMI means the same type of failure across sensors.
FMIWhat it generally means
0Data valid, but above the normal operating range (most severe)
1Data valid, but below the normal operating range (most severe)
2Data erratic, intermittent, or incorrect
3Voltage above normal, or shorted to a high source
4Voltage below normal, or shorted to a low source
5Current below normal, or open circuit
6Current above normal, or grounded circuit
7Mechanical system not responding or out of adjustment
8Abnormal frequency, pulse width, or period
9Abnormal update rate
10Abnormal rate of change
11Root cause not known
12Bad intelligent device or component
13Out of calibration
16Data valid, but above the normal operating range (moderately severe)
19Received network data in error
31Condition exists (manufacturer-specific)

Reading the table

The code column gives the identifier the controller publishes: an SPN/FMI pair or a P-code. The label column gives the short condition or component/failure text from the cited OEM chapter.

A label identifies a monitored circuit or condition. It does not confirm that a named part has failed, and it does not establish whether the machine is safe to operate.

Write down the full code, the model year and model, and the conditions when it appears. That record is what the manual and a service provider use to match the entry to your machine.

Source note

This page publishes short component and condition labels from the public OEM manual chapter, not the manual's long-form repair prose. The source list below opens the exact chapter for every manual in the group.

Scope

This is a label index. It does not provide repair procedures, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.
