Polaris snowmobile 83-code fault table (2022–2024)
Twelve 2022–2024 Indy, RMK, Matryx, and Trail Performance manuals publish the same 83-entry P-code table. This page lists it once, with the manual citation for each model and the platform differences behind the codes.
Scope note
This page covers twelve model-year records that publish the same 83 normalized entries. Eleven use OEM chapter 0000684684; the 2024 Patriot Boost 9R / Slash / Pro RMK Khaos uses chapter 0000874121. Both chapters have 103 raw rows and the same code set.
The 2025 600 Matryx Indy Cross Country adds P-code PP2230 and moves to the 84-entry table on a separate page. The 2022 naturally aspirated PRO-RMK / RMK KHAOS publishes a different 88-entry table.
The table uses P-codes with SPN/FMI cross-references. The display may show either form; both identify the same entry. This page is a label index, not a repair procedure.
Table profile
This page reproduces 83 entries from 12 model-year records (2022–2024), 12 manual P/Ns, and 2 OEM chapters.
Rows keep the manual’s printed order, from P1646 to P0503.
Every row prints both an SPN/FMI pair and a manufacturer code. 38 distinct SPNs and 17 FMI values appear.
The largest FMI groups are FMI 3 (20 rows), FMI 4 (18 rows), and FMI 5 (6 rows); together they account for 53% of the table.
The most repeated SPN is 110 with 5 rows, followed by SPN 520173 with 5 rows.
Every printed SPN/FMI pair carries one title in this table.
These counts describe the rows on this page, not every manual in the archive. The source box below lists the exact citation for every record on the page.
Why twelve manuals share one table
Polaris reuses the same snowmobile diagnostic definitions across the 2022–2024 Indy, RMK, Matryx, and Trail Performance owner’s manuals. The code, component, and failure rows match entry-for-entry. The publication chapters differ for the 2024 Patriot Boost record, but the normalized table is the same.
Publishing the same 83 rows on twelve URLs would create twelve near-duplicate pages. This page carries the table once and keeps an anchor for each model year. The old model-year URLs redirect to those anchors.
What the 83 P-codes cover
The table covers engine temperature and coolant temperature, knock, injectors, ignition coils, exhaust-valve actuator position, barometric pressure, battery voltage, ECU supply and memory, crankshaft and camshaft signals, chassis relays, and several sensor plausibility faults.
Each row lists a P-code and an SPN/FMI pair. A code names a monitored circuit or condition; it does not confirm that the ECU, injector, coil, or another named part has failed.
Boost, ProStar, and trail-platform differences
The group includes naturally aspirated ProStar, Indy Boost, Patriot Boost 9R, and Trail Performance machines. The shared table defines codes that may apply to features a particular engine or trim does not have. A boost-specific row can appear in the table without applying to a naturally aspirated model.
Cold, vibration, snow intrusion, and battery condition can all affect these circuits. A low-voltage event can set several codes at once. Record every active and stored code before treating one row as the root cause.
How to use this page
Record the exact P-code and SPN/FMI, choose the anchor for your model year, and use the full table or the decoder. Note the manual P/N and chapter so the citation matches your machine. This page does not provide engine, fuel-system, or exhaust-valve service procedures.
Which manuals use this table
The table is shared; the manual citation is not. Use the P/N for your exact model year.

Model and year notes
These notes explain which systems matter on each machine. They do not add rows to the OEM table.
2022 Indy, Matryx, and RMK Boost
The 2022 Indy VR1 / Indy XC / Switchback Assault, 600 Matryx Indy Cross Country, and PRO-RMK / RMK KHAOS Boost publish this 83-entry table in chapter 0000684684. The models use different engines and suspensions; the diagnostic rows are shared.
2023 Matryx, Indy Boost, Trail Performance, and Patriot Boost
Five 2023 manuals publish this 83-entry table in chapter 0000684684. The group spans the 600 Matryx, Indy Boost, Matryx ProStar, Trail Performance, and Patriot Boost 9R / Slash / Pro RMK Khaos. Boost and non-boost rows can both appear in the shared table.
2024 Matryx, Trail Performance, and Patriot Boost
The 2024 Trail Performance, Matryx ProStar, and 600 Matryx Indy Cross Country use chapter 0000684684. The 2024 Patriot Boost 9R / Slash / Pro RMK Khaos uses chapter 0000874121. Both chapters have 103 raw rows and the same 83 normalized entries.
Full OEM table
83 entries from the shared OEM diagnostic chapter.
This chapter publishes one condition line per code. The condition column preserves that wording; the FMI glossary explains the numeric suffix.

Earliest cited chapter: Polaris Owner's Manual P/N 9940131 (2022 Indy VR1 / Indy XC / SB Assault) - Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) chapter. Every cited chapter is linked in Sources below. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.
What the FMI number means
Every entry pairs an SPN with an FMI. The FMI is the failure type; the SPN is the circuit or component.
| FMI | What it generally means |
|---|---|
| 0 | Data valid, but above the normal operating range (most severe) |
| 1 | Data valid, but below the normal operating range (most severe) |
| 2 | Data erratic, intermittent, or incorrect |
| 3 | Voltage above normal, or shorted to a high source |
| 4 | Voltage below normal, or shorted to a low source |
| 5 | Current below normal, or open circuit |
| 6 | Current above normal, or grounded circuit |
| 7 | Mechanical system not responding or out of adjustment |
| 8 | Abnormal frequency, pulse width, or period |
| 9 | Abnormal update rate |
| 10 | Abnormal rate of change |
| 11 | Root cause not known |
| 12 | Bad intelligent device or component |
| 13 | Out of calibration |
| 16 | Data valid, but above the normal operating range (moderately severe) |
| 19 | Received network data in error |
| 31 | Condition exists (manufacturer-specific) |
Reading the table
The code column gives the identifier the controller publishes: an SPN/FMI pair or a P-code. The label column gives the short condition or component/failure text from the cited OEM chapter.
A label identifies a monitored circuit or condition. It does not confirm that a named part has failed, and it does not establish whether the machine is safe to operate.
Write down the full code, the model year and model, and the conditions when it appears. That record is what the manual and a service provider use to match the entry to your machine.
Source note
This page publishes short component and condition labels from the public OEM manual chapter, not the manual's long-form repair prose. The source list below opens the exact chapter for every manual in the group.
Scope
This is a label index. It does not provide repair procedures, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.
