Affiliate disclosure

Why this page exists

A disclosure page is a record of the commercial relationships that can affect a link. It is separate from the code pages so a reader can check the current status in one place. The page applies to the site as a whole and to any page that might carry a monetized link in the future.

Current status

This build contains no affiliate links, advertising tags, or retailer tracking links. The site does not earn a commission from any link on the current pages. The code pages link to public OEM chapters and to other pages on this site; those links are not monetized.

How affiliate links would work

If a link were monetized, the retailer could pay a commission when a reader buys through that link, at no extra cost to the reader. The link would be disclosed on the page where it appears, and this page would list the active relationship. A link-level disclosure would appear near the link, not only in the footer.

A monetized link would be marked in the page markup so it can be identified as a commercial link. The disclosure would not depend on a reader noticing a small icon or a footer note.

Editorial boundary

An affiliate relationship would not change the code labels or source citations. The site does not sell repairs, diagnostic services, or replacement parts, and a commercial link would not be presented as a diagnosis or a recommendation for a specific machine. A product link would not be used to fill a gap in the code table.

What would not be monetized

The source links to OEM manuals and the links to the model-year pages are reference links. They would not be replaced with affiliate links. The decoder and the code tables would remain available without a commercial redirect.
