2027 Arctic Cat 600.858 (Bearcat, HCR, HCX, M, XF, ZR) fault codes
The 2027 Arctic Cat 600.858 Operator's Manual publishes one 67-entry diagnostic table for 21 snowmobile models. Codes come in three families: 21 C-codes for the suspension module and warmer circuits, 40 P-codes for the engine controller, and 6 U-codes for network communication. This page lists all 67 rows in the manual's printed order.
Scope note
Built from the 2027 600.858 Operator's Manual (P/N 653-00110), General Information / Diagnostic Codes, printed p. 16.
The manual covers 21 models: Bearcat 600 LT, Bearcat 858 LT, HCR 858, HCX 858, M 600 Sno Pro, M 600 Sno Pro Alpha, M 858 Sno Pro, M 858 Sno Pro Alpha, XF 600 Sno Pro, XF 858, XF 858 Sno Pro, ZR 600, ZR 600 El Tigre, ZR 600 R-XC, ZR 600 Sno Pro, ZR 600 Sno Pro EPS, ZR 858, ZR 858 El Tigre, ZR 858 R-XC, ZR 858 Sno Pro, and ZR 858 Sno Pro EPS.
The table has 67 rows: 21 C-codes, 40 P-codes, and 6 U-codes. It has no FUEL OFF row.
The 600.858 and 4 Stroke books print different main tables. They share 39 codes; the 600.858 adds 28 codes the 4 Stroke does not print, and the 4 Stroke adds 37. Each book keeps its own page.
The C1301–C1331 EPS table is separate, in the Power Steering section, and is covered on the shared snowmobile EPS page.
Table profile
This page reproduces 67 entries from the 2027 Arctic Cat 600.858 (Bearcat, HCR, HCX, M, XF, ZR) owner’s manual and manual P/N 653-00110.
Rows keep the manual’s printed order, from C1500 to U1212.
The table uses manufacturer codes rather than SPN/FMI pairs. The printed codes group into 40 P-codes, 21 C-codes, and 6 U-codes.
Every printed code carries one title in this table.
These counts describe the rows on this page, not every manual in the archive. The source box below lists the exact citation for every record on the page.
What the 67 rows contain
The C block has 21 rows. C1500–C1515 name stall detection for the right ski, left ski, front skid, and rear skid shock stepper motors. C1520–C1522 cover suspension-module supply voltage and checksum faults. C1523–C1530 name coil A and coil B circuit faults for the same four shock positions. C1600–C1605 cover the thumb warmer and hand warmer circuits. The C rows therefore describe the suspension module and the accessory warmer circuits, not the engine.
The P block has 40 rows for the engine controller: intake-air and coolant temperature, throttle position, exhaust temperature, oil-pump and injector programming, idle-speed control, regulator and fuel-pump voltage, speed sensor, ignition and knock control, exhaust-valve position and actuator, engine RPM, barometric pressure, and control-module shutdown. The U block has 6 rows: lost communication with the suspension control module, the LCD gauge, and the navigation display, plus vehicle registration and left handlebar control messages.
The 21 models behind one book
The 2027 600.858 book covers the Bearcat 600 LT and 858 LT, the HCR 858 and HCX 858, the M 600 and 858 Sno Pro and Sno Pro Alpha, the XF 600 Sno Pro and XF 858 and 858 Sno Pro, and the ZR 600 and 858 family. The ZR group includes El Tigre, R-XC, Sno Pro, and Sno Pro EPS trims. The manual prints one diagnostic table for all 21 names; it does not print a separate table per trim.
That does not mean every row applies to every machine. The table defines codes for features that may not be fitted to a particular trim, and the page keeps the full printed table rather than guessing which rows a given build can set.
How this table differs from the 4 Stroke table
The two 2027 snowmobile books overlap but are not the same table. They share 39 codes: the 21 C-family suspension and warmer rows plus 18 engine and CAN rows. The 600.858 adds 28 codes, including P0217, P0261 and P0264, P0545 and P0546, the P1000–P1008 programming and voltage group, P1261 and P1264, the exhaust-valve group P1639–P1647, P1755, P3001, and U0162. The 4 Stroke adds 37 codes in the other direction. Because the printed sequences differ, the two books have separate pages.
The 400 book is closer to this table: 38 of its 39 rows appear here, with P2600 the only 400-only addition. The 400 page stays separate because the record, model list, and source citation are different.
What the table does not include
The table prints a code and a short description only. It does not print an SPN/FMI pair, a fault-setting condition, a healing condition, a wiring diagram, a test procedure, or a parts list. The page therefore has no FMI glossary and no condition columns. It also does not expand a code into a repair step or a safety determination.
The EPS table is separate. The C1301–C1331 rows in the Power Steering section are published on the shared snowmobile EPS page, and a C13xx code belongs there rather than in this C/P/U sequence.
How to use this page
Record the exact code, confirm the model year and model name, and note the manual P/N and printed page. The table below keeps the manual's order, and the filter can search by code or by a word from the description. Use this page for the 2027 600.858 book; use the 4 Stroke page for the Pantera and ZR 7000/9000 book, and the 400 page for the 400-class book.
This page is a label index. It does not provide repair steps, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes, so the cited manual remains the source for the exact machine.

Reading the table
The code column reproduces the printed C/P/U code. The description column reproduces the manual's short fault description. The table has no SPN/FMI column, no condition or healing column, and no per-row printed page.
A label identifies a monitored circuit or condition. It does not confirm that a named part has failed, and it does not establish whether the machine is safe to operate.
Write down the full code, the model year and model, and the conditions when it appears. That record is what the manual and a service provider use to match the entry to your machine.
Source note
This page publishes short labels from the public OEM owner's manual chapter, not the manual's long-form repair prose. The source box below gives the exact chapter and model-year coverage.

Common questions
What does this 2027 Arctic Cat 600.858 (Bearcat, HCR, HCX, M, XF, ZR) table cover?
This page lists 67 code entries from the cited public OEM owner’s manual (Arctic Cat 2027 600.858 (Bearcat 600/858 LT, HCR/HCX 858, M/XF/ZR 600/858) Operator's Manual - General Information / Diagnostic Codes (P/N 653-00110; printed p. 16)). The table preserves the short condition or component/failure labels published in that owner’s manual.
Where can I check the source?
The source box at the bottom of the page gives the manual P/N, the model-year coverage, and a link to the OEM owner’s manual. The methodology page explains the site’s source and labeling rules.
