2023 Polaris Matryx Left Hand Controls DTC (heated grips) fault codes
The left-hand controls module behind the heated grips and thumb warmer prints its own C-code table for three heater drivers: left grip (SPN 516360), right grip (SPN 516361), and thumb (SPN 516362). Every entry carries the manual's fault-setting condition and healing condition. All 12 entries are listed below.
Scope note
Source: the 2023 Patriot Boost 9R / Slash / Pro RMK Khaos owner's manual (P/N 9940799), chapter "Matryx Left Hand Controls - Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)". The identical 12-entry table is printed in eight more 2022-2024 Matryx snowmobile manuals (P/Ns 9940131, 9940125, 9940802, 9940983, 9941038, 9941266, 9941268, 9941267); all nine editions were compared row for row.
Codes run C1106-C1111 with letter-suffixed steps (C110A through C110F). Each driver has four rows: FMI 0 over temperature, FMI 5 under current, FMI 6 over current, and FMI 31 internal short.
The manual doubles the word "is" on the current-threshold cells ("is is less than 1A"). That wording is published as printed in all nine editions.
Table profile
This page reproduces 12 entries from the 2023 Polaris Matryx Left Hand Controls DTC (heated grips) owner’s manual, 9 manual P/Ns, and chapter 0000684683.
Rows keep the manual’s printed order, from C1106 to C1111.
Every row prints both an SPN/FMI pair and a manufacturer code. 3 distinct SPNs and 4 FMI values appear.
The largest FMI groups are FMI 0 (3 rows), FMI 5 (3 rows), and FMI 6 (3 rows); together they account for 75% of the table.
The most repeated SPN is 516360 with 4 rows, followed by SPN 516361 with 4 rows.
Every printed SPN/FMI pair carries one title in this table.
These counts describe the rows on this page, not every manual in the archive. The source box below lists the exact citation for every record on the page.

Reading the table
The module chapters publish a code, an SPN/FMI pair, and one or two condition columns per row. Where the OEM module prints a fault-setting and a fault-healing condition, both stay in the row; where it prints a short and long description, both stay in the row. A repeated code is not a typographic error: the controller publishes a different condition for each SPN/FMI pair under the same code, and the rows below carry all of them.
A label identifies a monitored circuit or condition. It does not confirm that a named part has failed, and it does not establish whether the machine is safe to operate.
Write down the full code, the model year and model, and the conditions when it appears. That record is what the manual and a service provider use to match the entry to your machine.
Source note
This page publishes short labels from the public OEM owner's manual chapter, not the manual's long-form repair prose. The source box below gives the exact chapter and model-year coverage.
Scope
This is a label index. It does not provide repair procedures, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.
