Arctic Cat · shared OEM table · 7 manual P/Ns
Arctic Cat EPS fault codes C1301–C1329 (2023–2027)
The Power Steering section of 7 Arctic Cat owner’s manuals publishes the same 29 EPS codes, C1301–C1329. This page lists them once, with the manual P/N and printed page for each model.
Scope note
This page covers the separate EPS table published in the 2023 Alterra 600 Black Hills Edition, the 2025 Prowler Pro EPS, the 2026 Prowler XT family, the 2026 Alterra 600 EPS and TRV families, the 2027 Alterra 600 family, and the 2027 Prowler 800 XT family.
The EPS table is not part of the main C/P/U diagnostic chapter. It runs C1301–C1329 without a gap and prints one short description per row.
C1305 and C1326 both print “Rotor Position Encoder”; the codes are separate rows. C1323 prints the “EPS OFF” gauge display; C1324 is loss of CAN communication with the EPS unit.
The table prints no SPN/FMI pair, no fault-setting or healing condition, and no service procedure. This page preserves the printed labels and does not add those columns.
Table profile
This page reproduces 29 entries from 7 model-year records (2023–2027) and 7 manual P/Ns.
Rows keep the manual’s printed order, from C1301 to C1329.
The table uses manufacturer codes rather than SPN/FMI pairs. The printed codes group into 29 C-codes.
Every printed code carries one title in this table.
These counts describe the rows on this page, not every manual in the archive. The source box below lists the exact citation for every record on the page.
One EPS table, 7 manuals
The EPS table appears in the Power Steering (if equipped) section, not the General Information diagnostic chapter. The same 29 rows, C1301–C1329, appear in 7 owner’s manuals covering 7 model-year records from 2023–2027. The rows match entry-for-entry.
What the 29 codes cover
The block is contiguous. The first rows cover over-current and torque-sensor range and linearity; the middle rows cover rotor-position encoding, system voltage, temperature thresholds, vehicle speed, engine RPM, memory and CAN faults; the final rows cover gauge state and voltage-converter errors. C1305 and C1326 both print “Rotor Position Encoder”. C1323 is the “EPS OFF” gauge display and C1324 is loss of CAN communication with the EPS unit.
Where the table sits
The EPS table is separate from the main C/P/U table. A C13xx code belongs on this page; a C/P/U code belongs on the shared main table. The 2023 Black Hills manual also publishes the EPS table even though its main table is different. The page keeps the EPS rows separate so a C13xx lookup does not collide with the main table.
How to use this page
Record the exact C13xx code, choose your model section, and note the manual P/N and printed page. The table keeps the manual’s order. This page is a label index; it does not provide repair steps, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine.
Which manuals use this table
The table is shared; the manual citation is not. Use the P/N for your exact model year.

Code prefixes in this table
This table uses the manufacturer codes printed in the manual. It does not print SPN/FMI pairs.
- C — 29 rows. C-prefix rows in this table are the EPS module’s C13xx codes.
The prefix is part of the printed code. This page does not assign a system meaning the manual does not print.
Reading the table
The code column gives the identifier the controller publishes: an SPN/FMI pair, a P-code, or another manufacturer code. The label column gives the short condition or component/failure text from the cited OEM owner’s manual.
A label identifies a monitored circuit or condition. It does not confirm that a named part has failed, and it does not establish whether the machine is safe to operate.
Write down the full code, the model year and model, and the conditions when it appears. That record is what the manual and a service provider use to match the entry to your machine.
Source note
This page publishes the printed code and short description labels from the public OEM owner’s manual, not the manual’s long-form repair prose. The source list below opens the exact owner’s manual for every manual in the group.
Scope
This is a label index. It does not provide repair procedures, parts advice, or a diagnosis for a specific machine. Codes can vary by trim, market, and running changes.
